To further explore the red culture and tourism resources in Garzê Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture and Hailuogou, effectively strengthen the integration of culture and tourism, and fully promote the creation of a 5A-level scenic area for Hailuogou, the Party Committee and Administration Bureau of Hailuogou Scenic Area have built the Moxi Exhibition Hall of the Red Army Long March. A grand opening and unveiling ceremony was held on the morning of May 30.

Descendants of many Red Army soldiers including Zhou Enlai and Dong Biwu attended the ceremony, along with Xiang Luo (Member of the Standing Committee of the Garzê Prefectural Party Committee and Director of the Publicity Department), Zhang Hao (Member of the Standing Committee of the Garzê Prefectural Party Committee and Deputy Prefect), responsible persons of relevant prefectural departments, and representatives of enterprises that donated to the memorial hall. At the ceremony, Tan Zhiquan (Director of the Hailuogou Scenic Area Administration Bureau) and representatives of donating enterprises delivered enthusiastic speeches respectively.

In accordance with the agenda, the Garzê Prefectural Government presented pennants to the donating enterprises to express gratitude for their strong support for the protection of red culture in Garzê. The donating enterprises awarded the "Patriotic Education Base" plaque to the Moxi Red Army Long March Memorial Hall. Xiang Luo, together with representatives of the Export-Import Bank of China, unveiled the memorial hall for its opening. After the ceremony, the Red Army descendants and guests visited all exhibition halls of the memorial hall and the site of the Moxi Conference, cherishing the memory of the great achievements of the revolutionary martyrs.

On May 28, 1935, Comrade Mao Zedong led the First Front Army of the Red Army from Shiyueping in Shimian to Moxi and stayed at the Moxi Catholic Church overnight. To cherish historical memory, inspire future generations, and pay tribute to the revolutionary martyrs, the Party Committee and Administration Bureau of Hailuogou Scenic Area constructed the exhibition hall with the strong care and support of leaders at the central, provincial and prefectural levels, the Export-Import Bank of China, Bank of Communications, and Jianchuan Museum.

With a total investment of over 23.8 million yuan, the memorial covers an area of approximately 15 mu (about 10,000 square meters), with the exhibition hall and supporting facilities spanning nearly 6,000 square meters. Based on historical facts, the memorial consists of four exhibition units distributed across three floors (upper, middle, and lower). Through a wealth of pictures, exhibition boards, cultural relics, and scene reproductions with simulated sculptures, it truly restores the arduous years of the Red Army Long March and the heroic and tenacious revolutionary spirit. In the future, it will become an important patriotic education base and red tourism attraction in Garzê Prefecture.

After visiting the memorial hall, Mr. Zhou Bingjun, nephew of Premier Zhou Enlai, wrote in the guestbook: "The Moxi Conference is of great significance" and expressed his gratitude to Garzê Prefecture for building the memorial hall to cherish historical memory. Following the opening ceremony, the performance team of the Prefectural Art Troupe presented a wonderful artistic performance to the residents of Hailuogou Scenic Area to celebrate the opening. Many residents of all ethnic groups from the scenic area visited the memorial hall with great interest.

The completion of the Moxi Exhibition Hall of the Red Army Long March is a key part of Hailuogou's 5A-level scenic area creation. The entire scenic area will further carry forward the spirit of the Red Army Long March, integrate the development of red tourism with strengthening and improving the ideological and moral construction of young people and promoting the prosperity and income increase of local residents. It will also combine red tourism development with ecological tourism, natural landscape tourism, ethnic cultural tourism, and rural tourism to further enhance the attractiveness of red tourism and elevate the brand influence of Hailuogou Scenic Area.
